WORK-OUTS OF EASTERN HORSES. New York. July 19. — Recent work-outs of horses in training at Empire City were as follows: Empire City — Weather clear; track heavy. Barley thorpe — Three-eighths in 39i. Looks good and ahoara all his speed through It is work. Donau Seven-eighths in 1:34. Shows speed, but is not much of a work horse nowadays. Editli C. — Half mile in ,14. Has not been asked to show much of late. Ethel 1. — Seven-eighths in 1 :-l."«. Has nil her early speed and should race well. Firestone — Mile in 1:49. Coming around nicely to ins best form after a let-up. Fitz Herbert — Half mile in .13. Looks good, but has no! been asked to show much speed. Haartthorpe -Beren-ehrhtlnj in 1:37. Has lieen going along nicely for some time. Hiccough — Half mile iu .13?,. Shows a fair amount of speed and is now up to racing form. Infatuation — Mile in 1:17. Was tinder a stiff pull throughout Hie work. Jack Alkin— Three-eighths in 37. Was well in hand ami is close to racing form. Kings Daughter — Half mile in .13. Coming around nicely to her best form. My Annie — Three quarters in 1:19. Nice work for this one and she is now extra good. Miami — Seven eighths in 1:33. Shows a lot of ■peed ami is ready to race. Marigot Mile in 1:50 Looks good and works well at all times. May Amelia — Half mile in .1.1. Coming around nicely to her best racing form. Pleasant— Three-quarters in 1:21. Has plenty of speed and works well. Bose Qaeea — Half mile in .14. At her best now and holds all her speed. Warwick — Half mile in .11. A good looker and mover with a nice burst of speed.
