RACING IN BRITISH COLUMBIA. Vancouver, B. ., July 10. — The recently held second meeting of tile British Columbia Thoroughbred Association was successful in every way. There Will I o second meeting at Victoria. There is only one track at that place and in case a meeting should be held now it would bar betting at the Provincial fair next fall. So in order to avoid any friction between the Victoria Country Club and the fair association the proposed second meeting has been declared off. It is probable that a new track will Inbuilt this fall for next seasons racing. The racing, both here and at Victoria, was very forinful. seventy-five per cent, of the favorites winning. As a consequence, the bookmakers all quit losers.
