ELFIN MEAD set the pace from start to finish, was on Ihe inside for the entire trip, saved ground on every turn and won easing up. THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY moved up rapidly 011 Ihe far turn and tired after getting to the leader, but finished gamelv. BRAD CHILTON was sharply cut off at the start and crowded out. but e|,,Md a gam into a game third. JOHN GRAHAM was in close quarters al the end and ran a fairly .ood ram. I.A.MBRO, off forwardly and in closest pursuit of the leaders to the stretch turn, wore WOOLOASTA down and outgamed MARTIN DOYLE at the end. MARTIN DOYLE was crowded back at the start and suffered from repeated interference throughout, but closed a big gap and finished with a rush. WOOLOASTA outbroke the others and set the pace to the stretch, but tired in the final drive. ENGLISH ESTHER ran well. COONEY. K. was caught in a jam at the start and was pulled up.
