NEW TRACK FOR MONTREAL. Saratoga, N. y.. August ;. - J. T. it. Lanrenaeaa. president of the King Edward Park Company of Montreal, has iiad a representative here to notify hot UB Ulga that a new race course has been completed on isle Ornbois. which lies in the Si. Lawrence Hirer a few miles below Montreal. The grandstand, which is completed, seats 6,000 persons, and the situation is ideal. If horsemen snow an inclination to participate a â– even-days meeting will be held there this fall, and if the time for arranging such a meeting i.-. too short the opening will take place next spring. The King Edward Park Company is made up of prominent and wealthy Moiitrealers. who purchased a magnificent Island and are upending hundreds of thousands of dollars. There are road wharves, ferry boats, hotels, baths, an aviation held, an athletic field, nseiagical gardens and an a ovarium, besides several miles of amusement features, it has been decided to have attractive stakes and no purse of less than o. otii -iais recommended by the Jockey Club of lew fork will be the only ones employed. The attention as to whether the opening will take place this fall or next spring will be decided within the next ten days.
