ANOTHER NEW ORLEANS MOVE. New Orleans, La., August 17. — "New Orleans will have a thirty-days race meeting during the coining winter." is the announcement made by Louis F. Barthe, representiiiK the merchants of New Orleans. The meeting will tie run by subscription entirely, all purses to be paid out of the amount subscribed by the business neople. who claim and maintain that the city needs a race meeting in order to attract winter tourists. According to Mr. Barthe, no evasion of the Locke law will lie countenanced through subterfuge or otherwise. The names of the subscribers have not been made public, but those lm-iiind the movement comprise the leuding merchants I here.
