Frank Nolan Refuses to Let Son of Isidor Go for ,500 at Saratoga Sale. Saratoga. N. Y.. August 20. — Before the races today several of the horses from the Heverwyck Stable of Frank J. Nolan were offered at auction by the Fasig-Tipton Company in the paddock of the Saratoga Association. The star of the sale was Sir John Johnson and his presence in the ring attracted a big crowd. After he had been carried along to $ ,500 Mr. Nolan bid 0,000, being unwilling to let him go for such a price, and lie was retained by the stable. Bonnie Keiso went to It. F. Carman for 1.2.700 ami W. C. Moriarta paid ,000 for Al-drian. Exclusive of Sir John Johnson twelve sold tor a total of SM.000. Of the other lots offered Tasteful, consigned by August Belmont, went to George Baportaa of the Ronnie Brook Stable for ,690, and from the same consignment H. F. Carman paid .Ki 0 for Star-bottle. Mis. James McLaughlin had placed a reserve of ,f4.Pt! on Fauntleroy and as there was no advance on that price he was not sold.
