WORK-OUTS OF EASTERN HORSES. Saratoga. N. Y.. August 29.— Recent work-outs of horses in training here were as follows: Maiu track — Weather cloudy: track fast. Ben Lomond — Three-quarters in 1:21. Was under a pull throughout. Brandy — Three -quarters in l:15f. Has been showing good work. Bell Horse- Half mile in 50?. Has a fine burst of Sliced and is ready to race. Bobby Buyer— Half mile in 52. Was well in hand ami looks ready. Colinet — Half mile iu 4SA. Has all bis old-time speed and is now at bis best. Countless — Three-quarters in 1:18s. Was under a strong pull. District Attorney— Five-eighths in 1:02. Has shown a good turn of speed before this. Democrat — Three-quarters in 1:16. Coming around fast to his best form. Dartworth — Five-eighths in 1:03. Far West— Mile in 1:51. Was well in hand throughout and is up to his best for. 11. Footfall— Five-eighths iu 1:02*. Has not been set down lately. Glucose— Three-quarters in 1:19. Coming around nicely after a long let-up. Groenbridgi — Mile in 1:44-. Looks good. C.-aniti — Three-quarters in 1:16. Has early speed and acts like a nice colt. Hampton Court— Half mile in 48s. Was full of run and was cased up at the finish. Irish Gentleman — Three-eighths in 37. Has not liiHn hurried, but looks good. J. II. Been — Half mile in 51. Has been on the slow side for some time. Jimmv Lane— Mile in 1:48. Looks to be at his best and works well at all times. j0Uy — Three-quarters in 1:16. Has all his speed and is coming around to form fast. Jacqhelina — Three-quarters in 1:171. Works along as well as ever and looks to be at her best. Mindinette— Half mile in 50.
