NOTES OF THE TURF. Dalmatian has left New York for England. Touchwood virtually broke down in his recent •tart at Saratoga. DaiifieM and Follle Levy were recent additions to the schooling list at Saratoga. Trainer George Hani will shortly ship the Ocrst-Hol.e stable from Saratoga to Lexington. W. Rawlny. owner of Otogo, was invited to leave Delnrimier Park because he used abusive language to the stewards. A number of two-year obis have been pwrhased lecently from the stables of Mrs. Lillian A. Livingston and Iticbard F. Carman for sbipinent to South America. John D.vment will ship his three horses from Saratoga to Montreal September 5. The Canadian turf mans horses have met with little success at the Saratoga meeting. Jockeys Dorr. Crowley. Core and Oriflin. vab-t Crowley, a race follower named John II cB ride and trainer Wade Brown were all warned away from Delorimier Park. Montreal. Brown had Sir Walter Rollins and a couple of other horses. The officials for the Overland Dark meeting have been aniiouneed as follow*: Edwin Gaylord, man agert Ed Trilio. starter: C. W. Weaver, presiding judge; Dr. M. J. Dunleavy and James L. Oartland. associate judges, and A. B. Jennings, clerk of the scales. Cajit. E. It. Cassatts horses, in charge of trainer ,T. Simon Healey, will be shipped to Chest crhrook Farm in Pennsylvania at the close of the Saratoga meeting. Medallion and Clntrella, winners at the Springs, anil some of Captain Cassatts two-year-olds that are in winning form will probably race at Iimiioo. Matt J. Winn, genera] manager of the Juarez track, announces that lie has so arranged matters that in future no duty will have to he paid on race horses and accoutrements taken over the border into Mexico from El Paso. Last winter it was necessary to bond horses that crossed the Rio Grande, which was a source of annoyance to turfmen. Clarence W. Nichols, who has raced a stable of modest proportions on the metropolitan courses this season, purchased three yearlings at tic recent sales and will increase the number at succeeding sales. Charles Casey, who trained Ginette, Martinmas, Sir Brillar. Prottta and other consistent racers, will train Mr. Nichols horses on the Pacific coast the coming winter.
