IMPROVEMENT AT PIMLIC0. Baltimore. Md., January 10. Acting under orders from the directors of the Maryland Jockey Club, Superintendant John Brehnan and his men are now engaged in widening the backstretch of the Pimlico track. This will do away with crowding while the tields are at the post at the five and a half and the six-furlongs posts. It is improbable that any other alterations will be made 011 the famous old track before the spring meeting is opened this year.
