FEATURELESS DAY AT JUAREZ. El Paso, Tc.v., January 20. A fair-sized crowd tumed, out at Juarez today to witness the running of one of the poorest cards of the meeting. Despite tho lack of class, the contests were well fought and resulted in exciting finishes. But two favorites scored. The victory of Compliment in the second race marked the first success for that candidate from the stable of James Butler. Mr. Butler was not present to sec his colors Hashed to victory, he being in Now York at present. Gus Silk,- a "prominent business man of Cincinnati, and an ardent devotee of racing, arrived today and will remain for some time. Jockey J. Parker was again suspended for ten days by starter Cassidy for disobedience at the barrier in Hie fifth race. The further entry of the horse Cardinal Sarto was ordered refused, owing to his habit of wheeling at the ivost and interfering with the other horses. Fusiloor. when looming as a certain winner in the fifth race, bled and fell. His rider escaped uninjured.
