CONGO closed a gap and showed a fine turn of speed in pacemaking, but tired in the last furlong of a game effort. FORT CARROL was forced to work his way up on the outside and closed a big gap into a good third. SUREGET showed speed, but was cut off on the turn into the homestretch. AMANDA LEE ran a good race.
