YVONNE ran forwardly and gamely and was slightly impeded by LUNA BEALL when tho latter quit. LUNA BEALL showed the most early speed, but tired badly in the final sixteenth and bored over against YVONNE. ZAPOTEC ran green, but showed promising speed. TEXAN ran into the lead on the last turn and appeared the winner when a sixteenth out. but tired suddenly. EMMA L. showed the most early speed and, after being passed, hung on tenaciously. FUSILEER showed much speed, but bled and fell when appearing a certain winner. CARDINAL SARTO wheeled at the start, nearly knocking GUNSTON down.
