WINNING WIDOW TAKES ANDREW STAKES. San Francisco. Cal.. January 28. Winning Widow, a till v in the string of Henderson and Hogan, won the Andrew Selling Stakes from some fast: sprinters at Oakland today. She was a heavily backed second choice and led all the way. Big Stick was second, with Thistle Belle third. Raleigh P. D.. the favorite, could not get near tlie leaders in the final quarter. The fiflh race served as a California Derby trial, a number of eligihles for that event going to the post. Starry Knight, running gamely, came from far behind the leaders and won by a nose from Ayame. Doncaster. the favorite, was third. Threatening weather prevailed and the track was muddy. Ymir was an odds-on, choice for tho two-year-old race, but was beaten b.r Cash on Delivery and La Cazadora. Rosevale led all the way in tho last. I. S. Fountain has sold Camera to F. Goulart.
