The stewards of the Irish Turf Club have written to the lord-lieuleuant of Ireland, informing him that siinuld King George lie pleased to attend au Irish. race meeting duriug his visit to Ireland, a fixture could be arranged for nil day his majesty should desire. This is in accordance with the precedent of 100.!, when the late King Edward went to Ireland. The Phoenix Park meeting, which was fixed for July 0. was changed to .Inly 2!!. by order of the stewards of the Tnrf Club, in deference to the wishes of his late majesty. The July meeting this year at Phoenix. Park is set down for .Inly 15, but could be changed to any other day.
