AVIATORS FLY OVER RACING HORSES. Tampa, Fla., February 21. Todays attendance was of record projiortions. The crowd took possession of every available vantage point at the track. Most of the spectators were attracted by the air iiights, but took a lively interest iu the racing. The aviators again deferred their exhibitions until the fifth race, and continued them until long after the linish of the last race. The spectators were treated to the novel spectacle of aviator Beachey Hying over the field of horses iu the closing dash. There was a big increase in speculation during the afternoon, and it resulted in much profit for the bookmakers, due to the failure of some of the best-backed horses. Rumors or a job in the fifth race, arose out of the persistent backing of Grenade. The horse failed to get any portion of the purse, however. At the half-mile post iMinot dropped out of contention, and it developed that he had broken his ankle and will have to be destroyed. After Irvins bad ride on Athie W. in the second race the judges notified that jockey of his indefinite suspension. C. Knight fell from Kitty Usher in the fourth race, due to jockey Edwards act iu pulling across on LAppelle. Knight later assaulted the youngster and the judges will have both before them tomorrow. After Leialoahs victory in the first race, trainer Crist, acting for Barney Schreibcr, sold her to Eugene Lutz. Today closed the aviation exhibition at the track. The flyers will be seen tomorrow at the old fair grounds. -It is almost certain that the racing here will be prolonged until March 25 and possibly longer, before the return to Pcusacola for a short meeting.
