JUAREZ TRACK AGAIN NEARLY NORMAL. El Paso, Tex., February 24. Milder weather was productive of an increased attendance here today., a fairly good crowd turning out to witness the running of an exceptionally good Friday card, the features of which were a handicap at six furlongs and an allowance race at seven-eighths. The track showed decided improvement and had . the effect of reducing the number of withdrawals, and. while the fields were not large, good racing resulted. Trcuiee, having a decided advantage in the weights, was quickly installed favorite in the handicap and had no trouble in easily disposing of her opponents. General Navarro, commander of the Federal forces at Juarez, and his staff, made their second visit to the races today, and profited by the success of several of tho good things that went over, notably Colonel Bronston, which placed at good odds. The further entry of Sona has been ordered refused by the board of stewards on account of her unruly actions at the post. In her last few starts she caused annoying delays by refusing to go to the post. Prestolite. one of the recent arrivals from Oakland, died today from pneumonia contracted on the trip from California. Jockey Glass carried off the riding honors of the day, winning with each of his two mounts.
