HORSES IN TRAINING AT BENNING. Washington. I. C. March 1. The horses quar-teied at ISeuuing are far advanced In training. In II. I.. Kites stable, which numbers twelve. Tim Pippin ami Mr. Golightly are in superb condition. Loth have muscled perceptibly since last season. All of the Dr. Tyree and Samuel Boss horses look ready. Turney Brothers, of Paris. Ky.. have sixteen head here. Ieing bundled by trainer Martin. They arrived recently from Kentucky, and are looking well. Theo. F. Coles has in his charge ten head belong-iiuv to C. C. Sniithsoii. among them Stinger, which colt has grown and developed into a grand-looking animal. Trainer Smithson has some big. raugy-lookmg two-year-olds, but nothing is known of them. W. S. Diflenderfer. of Kalt juioro, MA... has three good-looking horses at tho track, aiid his two-year-olds especially take the eye. They are In charge of the negro trainer. Joe L. Gladish. He has a couple of two-year-olds by St. Mark that, were the fastest yearlings broken and shown at Pinilico last fall. Mr. Diffenderfer has in Ills brown filly Bemarkable something that he feels proud of. The Diffenderfer horses will race at Jamestown. William Garth is due to arrive tomorrow with thirty-two head from his farm in Albemarle County. Virginia.
