F0LLIE LEVY EQUALS JUAREZ RECORD. G. M. Odoms Fleet Filly Wins Feature of Mexican Card Action Taken to Stop Rough Riding. El Paso. Tex., .March Hi. Ladies day and a promising card contributed to a fine attendance at the Juarez races today. The feature race was an allowance affair at five anil a half furlongs, which had attracted a notable field of sprinters. The race was marred to some extent by withdrawals, Follie Levys presence apparently heing the cause. She was installed a hot favorite and in the running overtook the licet Terns Trick witli ease and won eased up in time whicli equaled the track record of 1:05 for the distauce made by Napa Nick recently. The success of three favorites and a well backed second choice gave the public some relief from the results of the preceding few days. There has been much rough riding of late that the stewards took action this afternoon and suspended jockevs Parker and Moore for five days, besides fining then! each 5. The offense calling for this action took place in the fifth race, in which Butter Ball was the victim of "herding" tactics. , .... .Tocker Molesworth, who has been riding in exceptionally good form of late, had .hut three mounts todav and succeeded in winning with all of them. George Odom, regretting the recent sale of Sporting Life, repurchased him from Dr. Higgins, who had acquired the horse at public auction. Owner R. J. Mackenzie has appointed "Canada Jack" Adkin trainer of ills stable, while E. Wbyte goes to Canada to take up some promising youngsters. The Mackenzie racers now here will le shipped to Jamestown. II. R. Brandt left today with narrigan and others for the ICentuckv tracks, the horses not being eligible to any of the remaining stakes to be run here.
