PROMISING STEEPLECHASE STRING. New York, March 21. A stable that is likely to play . an. important part in sleeplcchasing this year is that of Latlirop Brown and Leonec Fuller. .Messrs. Brown and Fuller have six horses at Belmont Park, and they are In prime condition for strong galloping exercise to lit them for spring racing. The- training of the horses is in the hands of Mr. Fuller, who like his partner, .Mr. Brown, Is a capable rider through the field. Naslur dOr. Kragola. Thames. Fezzan, Tom Tit and Ortensia arc the horses .Mr. Fuller is preparing for the .seasons campaign. Kragola is owned by Mr. Fuller outright and will race in his green and brown colors. All of the other horses are owned jointly by Brown and Fuller. Mr. Browns racing colors are blue, with gold band around the body of the jacket. Mr. Brown, who is a New Yorker, Is engaged to Miss Helen Hooper of Boston. The date set for their marriage is April 5. Miss Hoopers father, who raced under the name of "Mr. Chamblet," was a leading sportsman for many years. His cherry and white silks were carried with distinction in many important events. Miss Hooper takes a lively interest in racing, especially steeplechasing. She has donated a cup value ,000 to be presented to the owner who wins the Chamblet Memorial Steeplechase, three times. This event will be run at Brooklinc, a meeting noted for its attraction of society folk. It was on this course that the late Mr. Hoopers Land of Clover won the Country Club Grand Annual Steeplechase. The good chaser. Ruxton, is at Mr. Fullers estate at Wykoff. N. J., where he is getting mild exercise between shafts. Ho will soon be shipped to the Westchester Racing Associations course and put Into active training.
