FIVE FOALS AT BEAUMONT STUD. Lexington. Ky., March 21. There arc five foals thus far this year at Hal P. Hcadlcys Beaumont Stud. Four are by the great stake winuer and sire. Ornament, and the other is by McGce. the sterling son of White Knight that was brought over from England by Edward Corrigan and is now the premier sire in Charles AV. Moores Mere Hill Stud near this city. The foal by McGce is a bay filly out of Renown, a daughter of St. Simon and Lady Reel, by Fellowcraft, and is owned by H. K. Knapp of New York. The four by Ornament are owned by Mr. Headley and his son, Hal Price Headley. Of this quartet the chestnut colt brother to Beaucoup. Pirn-panto and Our Nugget out of Ollle Belle, by Oharaxus, is the best in general appearance. May Hempstead, the daughter of Patron, that was unbeaten as a two-year-old and the following year won both the Tennessee Derby and Oaks, has a good-looking chestnut colt. The chestnut colt out of Genius, by Paderewski, is a brother to John Pcndergrast, in the string of J. W. Schorr. The brown filly out of Xarco is the first foal of that young mare. There are upward of half a hundred other mares at the farm yet to foal. They arc the property of the Messrs. Headley. F. R. Hitchcock. H. K. Knapp. Frederick Johnson. Homer H. Selby and C. W. .T. Bissell. There aro all told forty yearlings. The general health of the wares and yearlings is excellent.
