BEECIIMONT set the early pace and ran into a long lead, but tired and quit badly in the stretch. DENEEN began slowly and ran poorly. SUMMERTIME finished fast. Scratched 03238. BOBBY BOYER ran well and met with interference in the stretch racing, but was beaten at the time. PRIDE OF L1SMOKE, last away, was rushed up too quickly and tired batllv in the stretch. SMILEY METZNER trailed far back for the first three-quarters, then closed a big gap and finished last, HELEN SCOTT and FRITZ EMMETT raced each other into exhaustion and both quit.
