NIAGARA RACING ASSOCIATION STAKES. The Niagara Racing Association has made the pleasing announcement that the Dominion Handicap, which was run as a 0,000 snecial at Fort Erlo track last season, will be renewed this year as a ,000 race, thus taking rank with the principal American turf events of 1911. The association also announces the renewal of the Canadian Derby, carrying a value of 3.500. which will make it the most valuable of the Canadian fixtures for three-year-olds. The Niagara Racing Association will hold Its customary two meeting, from July 1 to July 8 and from July 29 to August 5, and its complete list of stake events for the two meetings follows: First meeting Canadian Derby, for three-year-olds, ,500; one mile and a quarter. Fourth of July Handicap, for three-year-old and over. ,500: one mile and seventy yards. Niagara Stakes, for two-year-olds, ,500; five-eighths of a mile. Fort Erie Stakes, selling, for three-year-olds and over, ,500; three-quarters of a mile. Second meeting Dominion Handicap, for three-vear-olds and over, ,000; one mile and a quarter. Iroquois Hotel Handicap, for two-year-olds, ,500; five and one-half furlongs. Grand Canadian Steeplechase Handicap, for four-year-olds and over, ,200; full course. Canadian Sportsman Handicap, for three-year-old; and over. ,500; one mile and a sixteenth. Stakes for both meetings will close Monday. Mny 1, and it behooves horsemen who have any idea of racing on the Canadian circuit to enter liberally for these valuable events. The stakes for the second meeting, during which the rich Dominion Handicap will lie run. are scheduled for that part of the summer when there will be the usual interim between tho Kentucky spring and fall meetings and should in consequence be especially attractive to owners who are planning to race In tho Blue Grass state during the early part of the summer.
