DRAGNET gained steadily and. after having easily disposed of NAUGHTY ROSE in the last furlong, won pulling up. The latter is a ijiilck beginner and, showing much speed in the going, set the puce Jast, but quit when challenged. AUTO MAID dosed a gap and was wearing NAUGHTY ROSE down at the end, INWOOD closed a big gap and is worth remembering. MONTCALM was a forward contender from the start and outstayed HIGH PRIVATE in the final drive. The latter, probably short, set the early pace and finished gamely, but tired in the last furlong. ASPIRIN began slowly and failed to show his usual speed. AREELAND ran well and finished close up. The others were always Ultpaeed. Scratched 9520GG. M. JOSEPH shut her off at the eighth- post and might have Won but for the interference. AGNAR ran fairly well. BUCKTHORN can do much better. "
