POOR OUTLOOK IN FLORIDA. Tallahassee, Fla., April 14. The Florida Live Slock and Agricultural State Fair Association, is endeavoring lo secure a renewal of its charier, which expired by limitation; April 1, but the Florida Legislature seeihs disinclined to extend the charter. Indeed, there seems lo be a strong anti-race track sentiment in Florida which lias impressed the Legislature. Today the committee on judiciary reported to the house an anti-race track bill, which not only prohibits betting on tests of speed or endurance among beasts, but also among men. The committee was unanimous in its opposition o racing. A poll of the house has disclosed forty-live members in favor of the anti-race truck lull and it is considered quite likely that racing in Florida will be under the ban after May 1.
