TORONTOS LIBERAL STAKES TO CLOSE. The foremost racing organization of Canada, the Ontario Jockey Club of Toronto, is iu the field witli a proffer of eight stake races of imiKirtance to which American nominations are invited. These events are to be run at the Clubs spring meeting, which begins May 20 and continues for seven days of racing. Entries close at midnight of Mar 1 and the conditions of the various races are set forth in the advertising department of tills issue of Daily Racing Form. All of these races are on the added moner svstem ranging from ,000 down to ,000. Four are for three-year-olds and over, one for three-year-olds, one for two-year-olds and two for the steeplechasers. They are the following: For three-year-olds and over The Toronto Cup, ,000 added; 1 1-S miles. The King Edward Hotel Gold Cup, ,500 added; 1 1-4 miles. The Minto Stakes, Selling, ,000 added; 1 1-10 miles. The Prince of Wales Handicap, ,000 added; o-4 mile. For three-year-olds The Woodstock Plate, ,000 added; 1 1-S miles. For two-year-olds Tiie Victoria Stakes, ,200 added; 5-S mile. Steeplechases The Woodbine Steeplechase, ,500 added; about 2 1-2 miles. The Street Railway Handicap. ,200 added; about 2 1-2 miles.
