H. G. BED WELL REINSTATED. Kentucky State Racing Commission Restores Western Owner to Good Standing. Lexington, Ky., April 29. The Kentucky State Racing Commission, at a meeting this morning, voted to reinstate II. G. I.edwell and all of his horses, ruled off last July for the alleged doping of tlie horse Nndzu in a race at Latonia, July 4. -Mr. Red-well is now at Oakland, Cal., and his horses, about thirty in number, are turned out on a farm at Lincoln, in that state. Present at the meeting of the commission wore Chairman E. F. Clay. Messrs. Milton Young, Johnson N. Camden and George J. Long. Maj. Foxltall A. Daingerlield is in Staunton, Va., attending tlie funeral of his sister. Tlie commission, adopted a resolution to do all in Its power to promote long-distance racing on the American turf, and heartily endorsed the four-mile Endurance Stakes, to lie run at one of the Kentucky tracks next fall, and as an added indication of its interest in this event voted to donate a gold cup, valued at ,000, which will go to the winner of the race in addition to the money involved in tlie stakes, the estimated value of which will he 0.-0OO. Leading horsemen and breeders of this country and Europe will be canvassed for entries, which close June 1. Secretary Ridwell of the commission is now mailing out the blanks. The oflicials designated by the Lexington and Louisville associations for their spring meetings were approved. Stewards to represent the commission at the three spring meetings were appointed as follows: Kentucky Association, Major Daingerlield; Louisville Jockey Club. George J. Long; Latonia Jockey Club, Milton Young. The commission . instructed the secretary to issue licenses to the following trainers, jockeys and apprentices, and to act upon subsequent applications, adjourning subject t6 tlie call of the chair.
