ALL IN READINESS AT OGDEN. Ogden, Utah, April 29. Bookmakers, trainers, jockeys and horse owners have been flocking into Ogdcn on every train during the past few days for Mondays opening of the spring race meeting under the auspices of the Ogdcn Jockey Club. Former jockey Buchanan is here with the Murphy and Miller horses. Including Abe Slupskey, Pickaninny, Greonbridgo and Alaxims. William Short, trainer of Frank AluIIens and other horses, has recovered from injuries received recently and is supervising the daily work of his charges. Presiding Judge Frank St. I. Skinner has arrived, as has J. AL AleCovcrn, the official timer. Heavy rains early this morning affected the track conditions to such an extent that horsemen .were chary in making entries and the fields for opening day will be accordingly small. George Rose, who will be in line opening day. has arrived with his crew, as have "Red" Brownfield and Lew Phclan. With those who have advised the management of their intention to book, it is expected there will be at least seven layers operating Monday.
