TRAINING NEWS FROM TORONTO. Toronto. Out., May 1. The belated season has not kept the horses at all back, and most or them are where they ought to be, within three weeks or a race. The interest, as usual, is chiefly with the Kings Plate candidates, practically all or which, except those or Mr. Seagram and Mr. Davies, are now located at the scene or the struggle due on the 20th or May. These exceptions are important, though, for Mr. Seagram always figures, and this year Mr: Davies Sanderling is one of the choices of the early guessers. Both stables will move to Woodbine in a few days, the Waterloo lot being due to ship on Tuesday or Wednesday. The Platers at Woodbine have, reached the stage of a mile in about 1:50. Trainer Ed Whyte begins to think lie may have another Shimonese in Miss Martimas. which was bought at the Valley Farm yearling sale last season. Shimonese was similarly obtained as a yearling anil only went back to the Valley Farm at a big advance a year later because of the death of Alex Mackenzie, and the consequent inability of It. J. Mackenzie to run her in the Plate, as lie is not a resident of Ontario. The green youngsters in the Mackenzie stable had their first fast work yesterday. Shore Dream and Birthmark went an eighth in i:!A and Birdcage and Glenwiie in 15. Trainer Ed Gleason has taken over George C. Taylors Nasarian. Woolvine and Woolfonso, all four-year-olds.
