KING BROOMSTICK was a prominent contender from the start and, though going wide most of the way. ran into a good lead on the stretch turn and won easing up. OLD HANK gained steadily and wore ALAMITOS down in the last furlong. The latter showed much speed for the first quarter, but tired and might have been short. JFDGE SALE was forced back soon after the start and was going fastest of all at the end after closing a big gap. DFKE DAFFY showed speed, but tired. BILLY LYNCH Is promising.
