B. SCHEEIBERS BIG BAND OF YEARLINGS. Lexington, Ky., May 1. Barney Schroiber. who has iu the past made a practice of racing all the produce of his Woodlands Farm in Missouri and celling none of them until lirst tried out for him, is right now in a quandary as to what he will do with his thoroughbred yearlings this season. He has 100 youngsters at his farm that have never hail a bridle on, and that is considerably more than are owned by any other one man in the United States. "Mr. Schreiber admits that the maintenance of his large breeding establishment and a racing stable in two or three divisions lias taxed him heavily and that it is up to him to get rid of some of his horses if there is not to be a revival f. racing iu New York. He is hopeful,, however, tha t the New York courts will enable the tracks to re-open aud nursing that hope he has not made up his, mind whether lie will sell the yearliugs or hold on lo them. Mr. Schreiber is optimistic aud has implicit faith in the complete re-esfablishment of racing in the Unitcyl States on a much better basis than heretofore, ;but when that glorious condition is to come alwut and whether ho can survive witli his stallions, ware?. and produce until it does come, is the thing that puzzles him.
