AETNA began slowly and whs forced to work his way up on the outside, but got t the frout on the turn and hung on gamely In the final drive. SPRIXGMASS was sliutlled back at the start and. closing a big gap, almost got up to win. MATTIE KERNAN went well, hut was bumped on the stretch turn and ran :iwy two miles after the race. THIRTY FORTY outbroke the others and. while setting the pace, saved ground all the way and had to be; hard ridden all of the last furlong. GAY closed a big gap into a fast going and game second. MAXENTIUS was on the outside of the leaders for the entire way :tnd was gaining with every stride at the finish. BLITZ EN JR. ran a good race, but was tiring at the finish. ERELLA closed a big gap. The latter ran well and, finishing fast, was wearing the wiuuer down at the end. JOK KENYON began slowly and was messed about all the way. but ran the best race and should have won. SAM BALL stumbled when landiug at the tenth jump and almost unseated his rider. RACEBROOK went well.
