METROPOLITAN TAKES OGDEN FEATURE. Ogden. Utah, May 2. Fine racing weather and a well balanced card, the feature of which was a race at special weights, attracted a large crowd to the fair grounds track today. Metropolitan, from the Cain stable, was returned the winner, but had to be hard ridden all the way to withstand the determined rush of No Quarter, which closed in the most resolute manner. Speculation in the ring showed, decided Improvement, four books having all they could do to attend to the business tendered them. "The riding of Cavanaugh was a feature of the days sport, this good rider accounting for three winners and a second out of four mounts. The ring had rather the better of the dally argument, although the winners all attracted considerable support. Dave Henry, with a division of nine horses of the Schrciber stable, arrived today from the Oakland track.
