SFRFEIT followed the leader in closest pursuit uutll straightened out in the homestretch, then wore SPRING BOARD lown in the last furlong and won going away. SPUING BOARD beat the barrier a length and showed a good turn or- speed iu paeemaking, lint tired after going a half mile. BE ran well, lint tired and juyt lasted long enough to outstay FOND for third place. The latter ran a good race and finished gamely. MERRY CHILTON began slowly and ran green. The latter moved up with a game effort at the furlong post, but was tiring at the end. MON AMI saved ground all the way and finished gamely, but tired and just lasted long enough to hold third place. BAATIIORN came wide on the stretch turn, but tinished fast and would have been third iu another stride. LAPPELLE closed a big gap. The others were outpaced. Scratched :550! UNCAS CHIEF came through fast on the inside in the streteh and outstayed STANLEY FAY for third place. The latter ran a good race and made a resolute finish. ASPIRIN tinished gamely aud close up.
