BAL-RONIA moved up steadily from the start and drew out in the last furlong. SEWELL, from a prominent beginning, held on gamely and saved much ground by staying close to the inner rail. ROYAL CAPTIVE was taken wide most of the way and tired near the end. DAINTY DAME came with a rush from a slow beginning and was going fast at the end. KASH was restrained close up for the first half, then moved up with a rush when called, on and wore GROVER HUGHES down in the closing strides of a game finish. The latter showed high speed ami set the pace, but was excessively used in the first three-quarters and tired, but held on resolutely. JABOT ran in closest early pursuit, but tired in the stretcii drive. SIR DAAVN quit after running well to the stretch. BELL HORSE finished fast. EXEMPLAR went well for three-quarters.
