HORSES GETTING READY AT BLUE BONNETS. Montreal. Que. May 10. — For the first time in tin history of the Montreal Jockey Club the patrons o racing in tliis city will be given an opportunity o" seeing good horses tilted tor the Spring meeting The first of the visiting horses to race here this siuing have already arrived at the track. Tiny an those of Abe Gar-ii. the Iteverwyck Stable ami the string trained by John J. Hyl.md. Besides these :i number will be shipped line from Baltimore he fori the end of the week. The Carson stable will not race at Toronto this spring and will be keyed up at Blue Bonnets track. Hie horses under the cue of trainer Hvland will lie similarly handled. Hey came from New York to Montreal after having wintered well. There sire Mime likely ones in this stable, including Ethcrial and San Vito. William Martin has taken over one division of the Beverwyck Stable and will jjet them ready at Blue Bonnets for the spring meeting. .Trine .°. to June 10. 11ns lot will start their Canadian campaign at Montreal and will then go over the Canadian circuit. The string includes Tasteful, which will be a starter n the Windsor Hotel Cup Slakes. A number of locally owned horses are now recetv-ng their spring preparation. The two Bteenlechaa- ■rs. Giddy Girl and Byzantine, recently bought from Nat Ray by John Lowe, are going along nicely. Ryaantine is schooling better than in any spring recently. The course at Blur Bonnets is in fast condition, due to the earliest spring that has t cen known h-ie in many years. The infield has dried out •ind some schooling has already been done over it by the local steeplechasers. There are over dOO stalls at Blue Bonnets this season and this will easilv accommodate all the horses that will be shinped here. The stables have all been renovated. There will be some Improvements to the plant of tin- Montreal Jockey Club this -prin? including he tile draining of the saddling paddock.
