DANFIELD broke fast from behind and opened a big lead in the first quarter, but tired near the finish. SIR ALVESCOT ran well, but could never get up. NAU-SIION followed the leaders close up until entering the homestretch, from where he moved up with a rush and drew away into a long lead. LAWTON WIGGINS ran in close pursuit of the pacemaker for the first six furlongs, but tired and just lasted long enough to outstay CLIFF EDGE for second place. The latter ran well and finished fast and gamely. PLATE GLASS set a very fast pace and tired in the long stretch drive. CARLTON G. was eased up when he tired. AYLMER finished well. TACTICS met with much early interference, was repeatedly cut off by the winner when she attempted to squeeze through on the inside and ran a good race. The others were outpaced throughout.
