BUTTE LAYERS HAVE PROFITABLE DAY. Butte, Mont., July 21. Although a program of inferior quality was down for decision today, it did not affect the attendance, which was up to the daily average. Form, however, was at a discount, not one of the public selections being able to finish in front and the ring in consequence recouped to an appreciable extent their recent losses. The defeats of Elsewhere, Lochlel and Dell were hard blows to the talent. At the conclusion of the fourth race W. B. Carson claimed Judge Qulnn from H. G. Bedwoll for ,275. On account of tile inconsistent running of the .horse Prince Winter, his future entry was ordered refused by the judges.
