RACEBROOK A il ambled at the tenth fence and went to his knees and met with much interference besides. ORDERLY NAT lost his rider at the first jump and DR. HEARD his at the second. TA ; NUN DA outbroke his opponents and, drawing away into a good lead while rounding the first turn, easily won all the way. THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY finished fast and wore GRANIA down in the homestretch for second place. Tiie latter followed the leader closely and appeared able to go to the front on the stretch .turn, but failed to respond when called on. The winner, entered for , was bid up to ,500 and sold to J. W. REDWINE showed a good turn of early speed and dashed into a long lead cm the backstretch, but tired after going five furlongs. MARTIN W. EAGLE BIRD went to the front with a rush and, taking a long lead in the first furlong, won all the way, but tired in the homestretch and just lasted long enough to .win. KING AVONDALE was taken back in the early running and was waited with too long and was wearing the winner down at the end. COONEY K. ran well and outstayed EMPEROR WILLIAM for third place. VRCITE ran to the front at once and, taking a big lead, was under restraint all the way. COMPTON ran forwardly from the start, but was in close quarters and finished fast when clear. TOPLAND finished fast and outstayed MERMAN for third place when it came to a hard drive. MERMAN ran in closest pursuit to the stretch, and tired. THIRD RAIL ran fairly well only.
