MUSKOGEE HAS SUCCESSFUL OPENING. Muskogee, Okla., August 7. The opening day here was a big success. The attendance was about 2,500. Only four books went on owing to the fact that the ring was prorated at ,200, at which figure the ring will be open to all reputable liookmakcrs. The meeting should Improve each day after this, as it is the first attempt at giving a regular running meeting here. The races today were well contested and all the winners were well applauded, especially in tbe third race when Georgia Shand fought it out all through the stretch with George Young aud outgamed him at the end.
