OTTAWA TRACK TO BE BUILT AT ONCE. Ottiwa. Ont.. August 10. Ottawa will have a modem racing plant in full operation next spring. Having received subscriptions for all the stock of the new" .00,000 Jockey Club which has been formed in the Canadian capital, the officers of the local racing association are now busy with their plans for the construction of the track, and the estimate calls lor its completion early next spring. At a recent meeting the option which had been secured on a fi.rm near Aylmer was released, and the directors arc now endeavoring to purchase a line piece of property nearer the city on the Aylmer line which will answer the purposes of the ciub much better. An offer for the sale of the club stock to an outside party was refused, and local lovers of the thoroughbred are planning to make the Ottawa track one that will take high rank in the affairs of the Canadian turf.
