STATISTICS OF THE BUTTE MEETING T : The 1011 meeting of tho Butte Jockey Club, which opened at Butte, Mont., July 10 and came to a close August 22, occupied the thirty days during which racing may legally be conducted with bookmaking in Montana counties of the first class, and was the most successful and prosperous meeting ever conducted in Montana, according to reports. The races run totalled ISO and the distribution in purses, there being no stakes, amounted to 3,000, representing a daily average of ,433. This money was exceedingly well distributed among tho horsemen, 121 owners getting a share of it, with H. G. Bedwell the leader.
