A. THOMAS MAY GO TO RUSSIA. Lexington, Ky., August 23. A young Armenian named Manschoff, who is racing a string ot horses iu Russia, today cabled J. 0. Keene an offer for the contract on the lightweight colored jockey. A. Thomas, and if his proposal is accepted by Johnson N. Camden, who is interested with Mr. Keene in the -ownership of the contract, the boy will leave here 4 this week for Moscow. Messrs. Camden and Keene paid ,000 for the contract on Thomas when they bought it from Fred Forsytho last year. The price offered by Manschoff, however, is less than that sum. Mrs. John C. Gallaher, wife of the junior member of the racing firm of Gallaher Bros., died at Lexington Tuesday after a protracted illness.
