GROSSE POINTE TRACK IS SOLD. Cincinnati, 0., September 11. John Hacbmeister,. general manager of the I.atonia Jockey Club, returned today from Detroit, where he concluded last Saturday, on behalf of L. A. Cclla and his associates, the sale of-the Grosse Polnte track. Tho plant brought 00,000 and was bought by Herbert Campbell, resident representative of the St. Clair Park Realty Company. It is the intention of the .purchasers to dismantle the plant at once and subdivide it for building lots. The plat has already been prepared and streets will be cut througli immediately. The work of dismantling the grandstand and stables has already begun and bids for the material have been received from several prospective purchasers. The grandstand is in good condition and could be used at some other track. The sprinklers and track implements, together with the teams that have been used at the Grosse Pointo track, will be shipped to I.atonia. The principal fixtures formerly used at Grosse Pointo will also be utilized at the Kenton County track. Grosse Polnte track has not been used Tor racing since 1007. Most of tho horses that have been quartered at the Latonia track since the close of the racing there this summer will be transferred to Lexington tomorrow. The consignment will be made up of those horses owned by F. I. Weir; E. Lutz, E. R. Bryson, A. J. Gorey, J. Brouse. J. U. Strode, J. S. Ward, W. Perkins, J. S. Evernian and II. McDanicl. Among the horses to be sent are Governor Gray, T. M. Green, Polls, Lady Lightning, Amon, Markie M., Messougcr Boy, Delaney, Old Honesty, Old Chum, "Foxy Mary. D. Vitltoe. N. B. Davis, J. Lally, T. E. Stevens. F. Schrickell, F. R. Cochrane and M. Burton will keep their horses at the local course in active training until the opening of racing at Latonia.
