, PIMLICO HAS SOME GOOD RACING. Aldebarans Presence Scares Most Contenders Out of Mile Race for Two-Ycar-Olds. Baltimore, Md., October 10. Excellent racing came out of a good card at Pimlico this afternoon, even though there were numerous scratches. Particularly in the feature race, a mile affair for two-year-olds, it being the first time the youngsters had been asked to go that distance in this part of the country. Apparently, the trainers of the two-year-olds did not want to try conclusions with the Wilson crack, Aldebaran, and only three went to the post out of seven carded. Aldebaran, of course, ,was a strong choice and lie won easily, although McCahey had to shake him up on the turn for home to stall off Yorkshire Hoy. This was Aldebarans public trial for the Waldcn Stakes to be run next Saturday. Mrs. L. A. Livingston uncovered a good two-year-old filly in the opener in Chryseis, which took the lead shortly after the start anil cantered the rest of the journey. Old Montgomery ran kindly in the long race and had no dltiiculty in winning. The steeplechase resulted in victory for the veteran. Jimmy Lane, making it his thirty-fourth success through the field. S. C. Ilildreths Rcstigouche captured his second purse of the meeting in the sixth race, but he had to be hustled al the way to beat Thco Cook. August Belmont scored bis second victory of the meeting when Lucky Lass won the final race, which was for maiden two-year-olds. D. L. McGiblwns Ganogue, trained by Capt. W. F. Iresgrave, and a frequent winner in Canada this year, is down with fever and will not race during this meeting. William Garth has purchased of S. C. Ilildreth the two--ear old Little Pal. The colt wil lie turned cut for the year on Mr. Garths farm in Virginia. Albert Simons shipped Lahore and Moisiint to the Iimlico track today. Moisant will be a contender hi the Walden Stakes to be run Saturday. W. P. Burch was at Pimlico today for the first time during this meeting. He will ship ills stable to the course from Beuning the latter part of the week. The hunter, J. W. Frye, was sent to Philadelphia this afternoon to race at the Rose Tree. Hunt meeting.
