NOTES OF THE TURF. The Marvland Jockey Club will attempt to revive the glories of long-distance racing at Pimlico. Widener has shipped to Pimlico from his place at Elkins Park. Pa., arc a number of newcomers in the jumping division. One of the lot. Zoola. wou several races at hunt meetings around Philadelphia. Old Coliguy is among the stables fencers, and the old veteran looks well. He won a race last week at the complimentary meeting which Mr. "Widener gave at home at Lynue-wood Farm. The Prix dir Couseil Municipal was won at Long-champs in France yesterday, by E. de St. Alarys Basse Poiute, by Sinioniau Basse Terre. Vieomto de Rivauds Melbourne was second and Michel Ephrussis Matchless third. The stake carried a value of 3,400 and was at a mile and a half. W. K. Vanderbilts La Hire and Frank J. Goulds Combourg were among the unplaced contenders. OConnor, Turner and Garner rode the placed horses.
