FROGLEGS began slowly, but gradually improved his position and, in a fast finish, would have won in two more strides. IRISI1TOWN showed the most early speed and set the pace to the stretch, but tired in the final drive. REPUBLICAN ran gamely, but was outpaced. SHREVE ran well for a half mile. . . Tunning the best race she has shown in some time, -finished gnnn-ly, but tiring. BABY WOLF closed a big gap and would have been a dangerous contender with a good start.
