The latter worked her way into closest contention in the first quarter, but tired in the last furlong. MADAM PHELPS had no mishaps, took third place quickly and held it unchallenged. JACK VEAVER ran in close contention to the stretch and tired in the last eighth. OTILO ran well and was gaining at the end. BALRONIA was away slowly and closed a good gap.
