The new race was at three-quarters ami engaged a fairly useful band of sprinters .including Prince Gal. , He proved the worst disappointment of the afternoon. Hacked to the exclusion of nearly all the others, he wound up in fourth place, Kthelda, Conip-ton and Donau leading him in the order named. , Prince Gal was much the best, but suffered repeated , interference in the lirst half mile and was held in , a pocket during the stretch drive. 1avontes and second choices accounted .for all the other purses , and those with :i ienehaut for short-priced contenders , Tared excellently.
