SAL VOLATILE wore MEXOANA down in the last sixteenth and took second place in the last stride. MEXOANA ran in closest pursuit to midway of the stretcli and tired in the final drive. GEORGE S. CHILTON SQUAW, close up from the start, wore SPIN down in the first half and, taking an easy lead on the last turn, drew away easily at the end. FAIR MISS trailed to the stretch, then came on fast and easily disposed of SPIN for second place. The latter was speedy and set the pace to the stretch, then quit when challenged and can do much better. HERBERT TURNER bled. Scratched 9S9C4Maromara, 102; 9SS063Moncreif, 100; 9S9G33Belfast, 102. The latter, showed much spced and set a fast pace, but was tiring at the end of a game effort. IDLE MICHAEL ran well, but tired in the stretch drive. LOTHARIO showed speed for a half and quit. The latter began slowly, but worked her way through steadily and finished fast and gaining. HARABY F. met with some interference and came fast through the stretch. THE GARDENER tired after running into a contending position and being prominent to the stretch. ROSE F. ran a good seven furlongs and tired.
