BIG OFFER FOR ROUND THE WORLD. Mexico City, Mex., November 2. John A. Drake has arrived here from New York. Mr. Drake at once visited the Condesa track of the Mexican Jockey Club and declares it to be one of the best constructed and most beautiful courses he has ever seen. This opinion, coming from Mr. Drake, is flattering, as he has in his career visited every track in the world of any consequence and was at one time the owner of a powerful racing stable in the United States. Mr. Drake has made an offer of 5,000 to W. G. Yanke for his great filly Round tho World, but Mr. Yanke declines to sell. Among the late arrivals for the racing are Fred Fenchler. J. S. El well, of New York: H. H. Hinklc, of New York, and T. R. Erickson, of San Francisco.
